Tibits Regent Street, London
We have just found our new favourite vegetarian restaurant. Situated in a quiet little square just off the bustle of London's Regent St, Tibits is a true find. With a bright vibrant restaurant interior and a philosophy that by using fresh seasonal ingredients of the highest quality the food you love actually loves you back, you just can't help feeling a little virtuous about eating there.
The restaurant set up is self serve buffet style and with over 40 dishes to choose from ranging from quinoa salads, falafel to vegetable quiches which are refreshed frequently there is something to suit everyone.
The food is sold by weight, which is quite a quirky twist! Your filled buffet plate is weighed at the till and priced accordingly - especially great value for those with a lighter appetite! Tibits was certainly not short of diners with a pleasant relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon, dishes are also available to take away as a number of customers seemed to be doing for entertaining of their own.
We enjoyed everything about Tibits form the accommodating staff, the pleasant contemporary atmosphere to the fresh flavours of the delicious food. We would definitely recommend a visit!
Fuel Café Wilmslow Road, Manchester
A vegetarian restaurant with a difference. Not only does Fuel offer a range of UK and continental beers, free high speed wi-fi and top notch vegetarian and vegan food but it is also one of South Manchester's best music venues. Fuel serves up such tasty morsels as veggie sausages, burritos tacos and sharing platters, but in addition to this the venue also houses a small upstairs function room which is occasionally decked out for band nights and the like.
Earth – Vegetarian Café & Juice Bar Turner Street, Manchester
Winner of many awards throughout 2008 including The Independent Magazine Food Awards 2008, healthy & sustainable eating award 2008 in the Manchester food & drink festival awards 2008. If you want to feel healthy and virtuous then this is the place to visit! Choose from super muesli's, salads and quiche or a more filling Mushroom & Cranberry roulade (a particular favourite of ours). Even the desserts feel healthy with the mixed berry vegan cheesecake or a more traditional carrot cake.
Vanilla Black 17- 18 Tooks Court, London, EC4A 1LB
Vanilla Black is a quiet tucked away location ideal for a romantic evening meal or smart/casual lunchtime dining. The minimalist white interior sets the scene for a stylish contemporary dining experience and the food lives up to this. The adventurous flavours and colourful dishes such as the Mushroom Duxelle Torte and Pressed Tomato (a particular favourite of ours!) are enough to wow any vegetarian. A great venue for posh evenings out and special occasions.
The Gate 51 Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, W6 9QL
The Gate is quite a way out of the centre of London but well worth the journey. The restaurant is an informal venue with top quality food which is beautifully presented. A buzzing hub of activity during lunch time and equally as atmospheric during the evening. The Mezze platter is a great starter for sharing with friends and is enough for 4 people. We got 10% discount off our next visit - an even better reason for us to go again!

Well worth the trek out of London. Visited one lunchtime and was not disappointed! Food was plentiful, interesting and very tasty - dispelling all myths about vegetarian food.The chefs are so talented - thinking up combinations I would never have dreamed up at home and with veg I had never seen before.
Would definately visit again.Highly Recommended.
